A man was fatally shot Monday evening in South Shore.
Marcus Odiggs Jr., 23, was on the sidewalk in the 7700 block of South Kingston Avenue when someone opened fire about 6:50 p.m., Chicago police said.
Odiggs was shot in the head and was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.
No arrests were made.
