Pedestrian hit on I-57 in south suburban Calumet Park; northbound lanes remain closed

All northbound lanes of inbound I-57 were shut down after a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle Tuesday morning in south suburban Calumet Park.

It happened at 6 a.m. on I-57 near 127th Street, Illinois state police said. The victim was taken to an area hospital where their condition wasn’t immediately known.

As of 7:30 a.m., all northbound lanes of I-57 were shut down and traffic was being diverted at 127th Street, state police said.
