Congratulations are in order for Rhian Sugden, who has welcomed her first child with husband Oliver Mellor.

The former Celebrity Big Brother star, 37, and ex-Coronation Street actor, 43, announced in November last year that she was pregnant.

It was far from an easy road to pregnancy for them, as it took six years to reach this point due to Rhian’s low egg count and perimenopausal symptoms.

But now they are doting parents and living in a baby bubble, with their little one making an early appearance after initially having a due date of May 4.

Taking to social media to announce her birth, Rhian shared the sweetest photo of Oliver gazing down lovingly at their sleeping son, surrounded by their dog and cat.

Her caption read: ‘All my boys! 💙 My life is complete!’

‘Baby Mellor born 25/04/24 weighing 8lb7’, Rhian confirmed.

However, their newborn is nameless for now.

‘Name still pending… 🥹✨’

Fans flocked to the comments to wish them well.

It took eight rounds of IVF for Rhian to conceive, with the 37-year-old previously admitting she almost gave up hope of becoming a mum.

Announcing her pregnancy last year, the model told Hello! Magazine: ‘We’re over the moon, our lives are going to change so much, which is very exciting.’

Her Corrie husband added: ‘I can’t wait for the baby to be born, I’ll pump my fist to the sky and shout, “I’m a dad!”’

Rhian also previously told Closer that she always waned a son.

She said: ‘It was always my dream to have a little boy, I don’t know why but I’ve always imagined having a mini football team.

‘Oliver never said what he wanted, but when we found out it was a boy, he had the biggest smile on his face.’

She added that they had ‘already decorated the nursery and chosen a few names’.

‘We like Tommy and George so far.’

Rhian spent over £150,000 on eight gruelling rounds of IVF while trying for a baby.

Thankfully, they had the means, as the TV personality’s OnlyFans page funded her treatment, with Rhian previously revealing that she was earning up to £1,000 a day for her adult content.

She said to The Sun: ‘I’ve got good boobs and I’m not ashamed of OnlyFans.  I’ve made more money on OnlyFans than I have in my whole career.’

The former glamour model joked: ‘Ollie thinks it’s a bizarre concept that all these men will pay money to see his wife’s boobs, and he gets the benefits of IVF.’

However, the IVF process took a toll on her mentally, as she’d be left feeling ‘low’ when each round was unsuccessful.

She once shared: ‘I’d dread Mother’s Day or when friends shared news about their pregnancies because it wasn’t working for me. I became brainwashed.

‘Every time I had my period, I’d be like, “Ugh – I’m not pregnant again”, and felt low for the rest of the month.’

Rhian and Oliver got to the point of planning a future for themselves without children.

After finally getting pregnant, she delcared that their son was ‘a miracle’.

Rhian is also keen to have another baby as soon as she can.

‘I do want to try for IVF again to have a second baby. I’m not old by any means, but time is ticking is for me, so I’d want to start soon.

‘I’d love to leave a gap but I can’t afford to wait too long.’
