Wisconsin man charged in fatal Rogers Park shooting

A Madison, Wisconsin, man has been charged in a fatal February shooting in Rogers Park, according to Chicago police.

Antwon Jackson, 31, was arrested Thursday and is charged with first-degree murder and two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance, police said. He is due in court for a detention hearing Sunday.

Around 12:20 a.m. Monday, Jakobe E. Barker, 28, was in a vehicle in the 1300 block of West Estes Avenue on Feb. 18 when police allege he was shot in the shoulder and torso by Jackson, police said.

Barker was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston where he was pronounced dead at 5:20 a.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
