Before Monday night’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Chiefs’ social media team jumped on a viral trend. They shared a photo of Patrick Mahomes in a sharp white and red checkered suit, accompanied by a cheeky caption.

“Sorry we’re late, QB1 was throwing a fit,” read the post.

While some fans rolled their eyes at the caption, Brittany Mahomes was all in. “This caption got me 🤣 🤣🤣,” she commented.

The post came during a tense stretch for the Chiefs, who have had a roller coaster start to the 2025 NFL season. After opening with two losses, Kansas City entered Monday night’s matchup at 2-2 against the Jaguars, who were 3-1 and riding a strong streak.

The game ended with a stunning finish. Jacksonville quarterback Trevor Lawrence tripped and fell, scrambled to his feet, and ran in for a one-yard touchdown with just 23 seconds left, sealing a 31-28 Jaguars win.

“What a crazy, crazy finish,” Lawrence said afterward, as teammates celebrated his 26th birthday in the locker room. The victory snapped Jacksonville’s eight-game losing streak to Kansas City and matched their win total from last season.

Despite the tough loss, Brittany kept her social media energy positive — both for her husband and for her famous friend.

Mrs. Mahomes Also Praised Taylor Swift’s New Album

Brittany also celebrated Taylor Swift’s latest musical era. Following the release of Swift’s highly anticipated 12th album “The Life of a Showgirl,” Brittany shared her excitement on Instagram.

“@taylorswift has done it again!” she wrote on Oct. 6, alongside a photo of album merch sent by Swift, with the title track playing in the background. “Truly one of the best to ever do it and keep doing it!”

The package included a sweatshirt, vinyl, and a handwritten note from Swift. “Well hi! If you’re reading this, you’re someone who has shown love, someone I admire, and ultimately someone I’d want to celebrate with as we welcome The Life of a Showgirl into the world,” Swift’s note read. “I hope you like these gifts and record! With love, a showgirl named Taylor.”

Despite rumors that Swift’s song “Cancelled!” might reference their friendship, Brittany and Swift have grown close since Swift began dating Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce in 2023. Kelce has also praised Swift’s new music.

“I keep listening to this album,” Travis Kelce told his brother Jason Kelce on their podcast “New Heights” on Aug. 27. “I know she mentioned that it’s gonna be a lot more pop beats, but it’s just still so poetic in her melodies and her references and stuff. It’s just so much fun to listen to, man.”
