Manchester United are still short of numbers as they look to make it back-to-back Premier League wins against Wolves this evening.
Ruben Amorim’s side produced a gutsy display to earn a 1-0 home win over Newcastle on Boxing Day.
And the Red Devils will surely be confident of building on that momentum tonight when they face bottom-of-the-table Wolves, who are still yet to win a league game this season.
However, United still have to do without several key players due to injuries and the AFCON.
Bryan Mbeumo, Amad Diallo and Noussair Mazraoui are all away competing in Morocco and remain unavailable for selection.
And on the injury front, there is not any good news for United, either.
Matthijs de Ligt and Harry Maguire had been mooted to return for this game, but Amorim confirmed that the defensive duo, along with Bruno Fernandes and Kobbie Mainoo, remain unavailable.
‘Bruno was already saying that he needs to train, but we don’t know,’ Amorim said. ‘No chance he is going to play against Wolves, no chance.
‘Kobbie Mainoo is going to start on the [training] pitch also, so we will see. Matthijs is struggling a little bit. Harry the same thing.
‘I think Kobbie is not going to be ready. Bruno is not going to be ready. I think Matt is not going to be ready. Harry is not going to be ready. So, I think we are not going to have more players.’
Elsewhere, there is also concern for Mason Mount, who was forced off at half-time against Newcastle due to a muscle issue.

Amorim switched to a 4-3-3 formation against Newcastle and could continue in that vein against Wolves tonight.
Should United not want to risk Mount, they could turn to Jack Fletcher, who came on at half-time against Newcastle, to partner Manuel Ugarte and Casemiro in central midfield.
Alternatively, Joshua Zirkzee could be handed a rare start in a No10 role, or as part of a front three alongside Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko should Amorim return to his 3-4-2-1 system.
Lisandro Martinez started his first game since returning from a lengthy injury lay-off, and might not be risked with a second start in four days. Leny Yoro could come off the bench to replace the Argentine.
