Before their game against the Padres, the Giants announced that they had made a trade with the Milwaukee Brewers.
The Giants wrote (via X): “OF Luis Matos traded to the Milwaukee Brewers in exchange for cash considerations.”

Matos has spent all three seasons of his MLB career in San Francisco.
He is coming off a year where he batted .221 with eight home runs, 22 RBI’s, 26 runs and four stolen bases in 57 games.

Following the Padres, the Giants will return to San Francisco and host the New York Mets with the series starting on April 2.
They are coming off a season where they missed the MLB playoffs.
