A new waterfront concert venue is set to open in Southern California this summer.
The Long Beach Amphitheater, an 11,000-capacity open-air venue near the Queen Mary, will officially debut June 6 with a grand opening concert headlined by Snoop Dogg, a Long Beach native whose career has long been tied to the city’s music history.
The amphitheater is being positioned as the city’s first large-scale outdoor music venue and a new destination for live entertainment along the waterfront. Designed to reflect Long Beach’s cultural identity, the space will host concerts, community events and festivals throughout the year.
The opening show is being billed as both a concert and a cultural milestone, bringing one of the city’s most recognizable artists back home to inaugurate the stage.
Following its debut, the venue will launch a full inaugural season spanning multiple genres. Announced shows include performances by Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz, Luke Bryan, Nas and The Roots, Los Ángeles Azules, Mötley Crüe and more, reflecting a lineup that stretches across hip-hop, rock, country and Latin music.
The amphitheater will also feature premium seating, including VIP lounges, dedicated entrances and enhanced viewing areas designed to elevate the concert experience in an open-air setting along the waterfront.
Tickets for the opening show go on sale beginning with an artist presale at 10 a.m. April 1, followed by a venue presale on April 2 and a general public on-sale at 10 a.m. April 3 through Ticketmaster.com.
With its location near the Queen Mary and views of the Long Beach skyline, the Long Beach Amphitheater is expected to become a major new hub for live music in Southern California.
