The Darker Waves Festival will return to Orange County this fall with a lineup led by Morrissey and The Smashing Pumpkins.
The oceanfront festival is scheduled for Nov. 14 at Huntington City Beach near Huntington Street and Pacific Coast Highway, where more than 35 artists will perform across three stages.
The lineup leans into alternative, post-punk and new wave influences, with acts including Simple Minds, Bad Religion, Adam Ant, The Psychedelic Furs and Soft Cell.
Additional performers on the bill include The Damned, Manic Street Preachers, Gary Numan, Silversun Pickups, Buzzcocks, EMF, Circle Jerks, Spacehog and Marky Ramone, among others.
Fans can sign up for the festival’s SMS list at DarkerWavesFest.com to receive a presale passcode. The presale begins at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 2, with early access to the lowest-priced general admission tickets available for one hour.
General admission, GA+, VIP and Ultimate VIP ticket tiers will be offered, with payment plans starting at $19.99 down. Any remaining tickets will be released during a general public sale following the presale.
VIP and upgraded ticket options include access to lounges, preferred viewing areas, dedicated entry lanes and additional amenities, while travel packages through Jampack bundle tickets with hotel stays at nearby beachfront resorts.
The festival’s return to Huntington Beach continues to position the coastal event as a destination for fans of alternative and new wave music looking for a one-day experience along the Southern California shoreline.
