The Toronto Blue Jays have added a two-time All-Star to their pitching depth.
The Blue Jays have announced that they have signed veteran pitcher Patrick Corbin to a one-year contract. In addition, the Blue Jays shared that Corbin has been optioned to Single-A Dunedin.
Corbin appeared in 31 games during this past season with the Texas Rangers, where he had a 7-11 record, a 4.40 ERA, and 131 strikeouts. This was after he had a 6-13 record, a 5.62 ERA, and 139 strikeouts in 32 games for the Washington Nationals during the 2024 season.
Corbin will now provide Toronto with another veteran pitcher to work with. In 13 MLB seasons split between the Arizona Diamondbacks, Nationals, and Rangers, he has a 110-142 record, a 4.51 ERA, and 1,860 strikeouts.
