Andrew Bergman’s “Striptease” is objectively not a great movie. However, given its steamy and provocative nature, it proved moderately successful and its legacy has endured. It’s also highly notable due to the fact that it famously made its star the highest-paid film actress up to that time ($12.5 million).
It starred Demi Moore as former FBI secretary-turned-stripper Erin Grant, who becomes involved in both a child-custody dispute and the world of corrupt politics.
The black comedy movie’s Rotten Tomatoes approval rating is a paltry 11%. Still, from a budget of $50 million, it grossed over $113 million worldwide.
As well as Moore, it starred Burt Reynolds, Ving Rhames, Armand Assante, and Robert Patrick.
Released in the United States on June 28, 1996, the film will celebrate its 30th anniversary this year. With that in mind, wouldn’t it be fun to see how the core cast are looking today, compared to back when it released? Let’s do that now…
