GettyJackman stars in “The Sheep Detectives” as an Irish shepherd named George, who has an unusual nightly routine.
In the film, George reads murder mysteries aloud to his flock, imagining they can follow along. As the story unfolds, the sheep begin to interpret the tales themselves, debating who might be responsible for each fictional crime.
When George is later found dead under mysterious circumstances, the sheep believe it to be a murder and set out to solve the case.
The comedy also features Emma Thompson, Nicholas Braun, Molly Gordon, and Hong Chau. Written by Craig Mazin and based on Leonie Swannâs novel, the film is set for release on May 8.
A Relationship in the Spotlight
The outing comes months after Jackman and Foster made their red carpet debut at AFI Fest in October 2025.
GettyJackman shares two children, Oscar, 25, and Ava, 20, with his former wife, Deborra-Lee Furness. The pair finalized their divorce in June 2025 following their 2023 separation.
GettySources say Jackman is taking a thoughtful approach as he moves forward, keeping his familyâs well-being in focus.
From Broadway Co-Stars to Close Companions: Jackman & Fosterâs Relationship Timeline
GettyJackman and Foster first crossed paths within the Broadway world, but their bond deepened when they were cast together in the 2022 revival of “The Music Man.”
After more than a year of sharing the stage, the two developed a close friendship that continued beyond the production.
GettyâHe has an impeccable reputation of being the hardest working man, incredibly kind, and generousâand all of that is true. He disarms everyone, and he doesnât make anything about him,â Foster said in a June 2022 interview with Vogue.
âAnd heâs now become one of my best friends, which was a surprise, because you usually go into these things thinking, âWell, I hope we get along.â But we just spent Memorial Day with our families. Itâs really fun to meet new friends after 40.â
At the time, both were in long-term relationships.
Jackman was married to Deborra-Lee Furness, while Foster was married to Ted Griffin.
In September 2023, Jackman and Furness announced their separation after nearly three decades together, as reported by People.
The following year, Foster filed for divorce from Griffin, marking a period of change that unfolded alongside their evolving connection.
Now that Jackman and Foster are together, these new photos reflect a bond built on friendship, mutual respect, and a shared love for their craft.
