Victoria Beckham Wants to Be the Best Mother She Possibly Can
Famous couples aren’t well-known for having long-lasting relationships. However, David and Victoria Beckham seem to be a match made in heaven. The couple married in 1999 and are still going strong today.
The Beckhams are the parents of four children: sons Brooklyn, 27, Romeo, 23, Cruz, 21, and daughter Harper, 14. Now that her sons are adults, the Spice Girls singer admits her parenting style has shifted.
“I think that it’s very different parenting adult children to parenting smaller children. I’m just trying to do the best that I can,” the singer shared on “Aspire with Emma Grede.”
âWe don’t put any pressure on our kids, we just want them to do what they love and to work hard and to be happy,” Beckham continued.
Although the Beckhams are a famous family, they strive to prioritize traditional family values. In the interview, Victoria Beckham emphasizes the importance of eating dinner together as a family. They require everyone to put their phones away and have conversations instead.
âBeing very close is really, really important to us,” the 52-year-old continued, noting that communication is “really key.”
âI’ve always wanted to be the best mom that I could be,” Beckham shared.
Brooklyn Beckham Remains Estranged From His Parents
Brooklyn Beckham has made headlines in recent years for ongoing tensions with his parents. The disagreement reportedly stems from his marriage to model Nicola Peltz. The pair married in 2022, and afterward, the Beckhams’ tight-knit family unit seemed to crumble.
âTheyâve tried to make peace, but every time they finally have a happy moment, it all falls apart again,” an insider told PEOPLE. âBrooklyn feels torn. Itâs his family and blood, but heâs always had a complicated relationship with his dad. A lot of their relationship has felt like âbusiness.ââ

âI think that weâve always â we love our children so much,” Victoria Beckham told The Wall Street Journal in April. âWeâve always tried to be the best parents that we can be. And you know, weâve been in the public eye for more than 30 years right now, and all weâve ever tried to do is protect our children and love our children. And you know, thatâs all I really want to say about it.â
