Police are trying to find the shooter who opened fire, critically wounding a 31-year-old man early Thursday in Hyde Park.
The man was found unresponsive on a sidewalk and shot in the chest around 4:50 a.m. in the 5400 block of South Cornell Avenue, Chicago police said.
He was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center where he was in critical condition, police said.
Area 1 detectives were investigating.
