Two stars of Robert Luketic’s classic 2001 movie “Legally Blonde” have reunited in new photographs that serve up a healthy dose of noughties nostalgia.
Reese Witherspoon and Selma Blair â who also starred together in the darkly comic 1999 teen romantic drama “Cruel Intentions” â played love rivals-turned-best friends Elle Woods and Vivian Kensington, respectively, in the iconic comedy flick.
Per IMDb, in the film, “Fashionable sorority queen Elle Woods follows her ex-boyfriend to law school, where she discovers that there is more to her than just looks.”
In their latest pictures together, Witherspoon, 50, and Blair, 53, look every bit as pally as their characters were at the climax of “Legally Blonde.”

Selma Blair took to her Instagram account to share two recent pictures of her and Reese Witherspoon together with her 3.2 million followers.
Blair captioned the post, “Almost 30 years of adoring this Sunshine ð !! Catching up kept me brighter all week long. Oceans of love to you @reesewitherspoon ð. Elle and Vivian 2026. Cute.”
The pair look stunning, with Blair evidently every bit as blonde as Witherspoon these days.
In the first picture, the two friends are cheek-to-cheek and smiling, both close-mouthed. In the second, they’re both holding drinks up and smiling again. While Witherspoon’s smile remains close-mouthed, Blair is wearing a big toothy grin.
Blair’s followers, and fans of the two stars, took to the comments section en masse to have their say on the wholesome reunion.

Per IMDb, Blair’s most recent acting project was the 2025 Israeli drama movie “Stay Forte.” Witherspoon’s was the 2025 rom-com “You’re Cordially Invited,” which she also executive produced (per IMDb).
Notably (also per IMDb), a prequel series to “Legally Blonde” is officially on the way. “Elle,” starring Lexi Minetree as the eponymous character, “Follows Elle Woods’ journey through high school, exploring the formative experiences that mold her into the iconic, confident character we meet in the Legally Blonde film.”
Other cast members in the series, which will stream on Amazon Prime Video starting Wednesday, July 1, include June Diane Raphael, Tom Everett Scott, Chandler Kinney, Gabrielle Policano, Jacob Moskovitz, and Zac Looker.
