Manchester United are keeping tabs on Borussia Dortmund right-back Julian Ryerson, who has been extremely productive going forward this season.
The 28-year-old has been with Dortmund since 2023, racking up 143 appearances, but has really caught the eye this campaign.
The Norway international has provided 15 assists in the Bundesliga this season, with only Bayern Munich’s Michael Olise (19) managing more.
It is a remarkable return from right-back, especially considering he only managed three in his 29 league games in the previous season.

It should be pointed out that Ryerson is pulling off these numbers from the right wing-back role of Nico Kovac’s 3-4-2-1 formation at Dortmund, rather than a flat back four, preferred by Michael Carrick.
However, Sky Sport Germany report that the Norwegian has caught the eye at Old Trafford and is on their list of targets this summer.
Dortmund do not want to lose Ryerson, but will not turn down a big offer for a player who turns 29 this year.
The Sky Sport report states that they would be asking ‘more than €30m (£26m)’ for the full-back.
With Ryerson set to play at the World Cup with Norway, that figure could look like good value if he has an impressive tournament with one of the dark horses this summer.
The Red Devils are looking to make a number of signings this season and right-back is not at the top of their priority list.
The interest in Ryerson is reportedly dependent on the future of Noussair Mazraoui, who has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford.
The Morocco international joined the Red Devils from Bayern Munich in 2024 under Erik ten Hag and was a regular in the team last season, making 57 appearances in all competitions.
He has still played fairly regularly under Michael Carrick, but has made just 19 appearances over the campaign, partly down to United not being in Europe and going out of the domestic cup competitions early.
The 28-year-old is under contract until 2028 and may be happy to continue to compete for a place under Carrick now United are back in the Champions League rather than look for more first team opportunities elsewhere
