But according to Sport Italia, United have now agreed a €53 million (£45.8m) deal with Atalanta to sign Ederson in the summer window.
The report claims that United will pay €48m (£41.5m) up front, plus €5m (£4.3m) in bonuses.

Ederson, who was left out of Brazil’s World Cup squad by Carlo Ancelotti, is now understood to be ready to travel to Manchester to finalise his move to United.

Atletico Madrid have also held talks with Atalanta to sign Ederson before United were able to reach an agreement with the Serie A club.
Ederson is set to bid farewell to Atalanta supporters on Friday evening as they travel to Fiorentina in their final Serie A game of the season.
The 26-year-old has been with Atalanta for four seasons following his €23m (£18.6m) from Salernitana in 2022, and was a key part of the team which beat Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League final two years ago.
