On and off the field, former NFL stars Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski have maintained a tight friendship, and Gronkowski’s longtime girlfriend, Camille Kostek, recently highlighted just how special it is. In PEOPLE’s “WAG World” series, she shared her thoughts on the pair and how their friendship has looked in recent years.
Kostek, a former New England Patriots cheerleader, witnessed Brady and Gronkowski connect as teammates. Now, she is watching their friendship continue to develop outside of their football careers, looking into their personal lives.
Kostek and Gronkowski met when she was cheering for the franchise, and he was playing tight end for the Patriots. Since they coupled up, Kostek has watched the connection between “Gronk” and Brady continue to flourish.
‘They’re Just Boys’

Per Skyler Caruso of People.com, in Kostek’s chat on PEOPLE’s new “WAG World” series, she humorously stated, “The two of them on the field are a power duo, and the two of them off the field are just boys. They’re just boys. Honestly, when they spend time, and they just throw the ball together, I’m not going with Rob to Tom’s house. Rob will be like, ‘I’m going to throw with Tom.’”
Further reported by Caruso, Kostek added, “I see them on FaceTime calls. I hear them talk on the phone. They’re so funny. They love to laugh. It’s so cool to see the buttoned-up versions of them that do press conferences… but then to see relaxed Tom and Rob, they’re fun.”
Kostek noted that despite the hectic nature of their lives, Brady and Gronkowski are “just like you and me.” At the end of the day, they truly are just boys looking to throw the football around like the old days, bringing them back to their memorable times on the field as they stamped their names into NFL history.
The Pair’s Close Friendship Continues To Grow

When Kostek joined New England’s cheer roster back in 2013, she caught a glimpse into how tight-knit the friendships are within the franchise. As she’s now experienced firsthand, those friendships don’t easily fade â not when they’re this solidified.
Kostek confirmed in her interview that when “Gronk” and Brady are together, she often finds herself spending time with Brady’s 13-year-old daughter Vivian Lake.
Having experienced the pinnacle of their professional football careers together, it’s no surprise that they have held onto such a tight bond over the years. They were truly a duo that made history on the field, welcoming fans into the experience along the way.
By the time Gronkowski wrapped up his final season in the NFL, he had logged 621 catches for 9,286 yards and 92 touchdowns through 143 games in his 11 years of playing in the league. As for Brady, he finished his 23-year career having completed 7,753 of 12,050 passes at 64.3% for 89,214 yards with 649 touchdowns through 335 games.
Between securing Super Bowl rings, navigating the various obstacles encountered by professional athletes and ultimately growing as teammates right until retirement, their bond is seemingly unbreakable at this point.
