Customers can get a little extra this Friday, June 5, at doughnut chains. The occasion is National Doughnut Day.
Their offers are usually free “classic” doughnuts, such as plain cake, crumb cake, raised, or iced.
Participants include the iconic Inglewood brand, Randy’s Donuts, and Krispy Kreme, which has a “Masters of the Universe” promotion tied into the feature film opening the same day.
DoorDash is partnering with Krispy Kreme on a discount for delivery orders on Friday. It also has a Top 100 list to drive business to its local doughnut shops.
Here are some offers chains have announced on their websites, in social media, or in news releases.
Duck Donuts: Customers can get a free classic doughnut, a classic half dozen for $6 and a party half dozen for $8 on June 5. Also, customers will get a free rubber duck with the purchase of any dozen. The offer is in-shop only at participating locations. duckdonuts.com

Krispy Kreme: Customers can get a free doughnut on June 5. The offer is good at shops and drive-thrus only, not grocery stores.
