Bears QB Caleb Williams outpaces Packers’ Jordan Love, Micah Parsons in NFLPA merchandising rankings

Bears quarterback Caleb Williams‘ compelling 2025 season led to a top-10 finish in merchandise sales, according to the NFLPA’s rankings released Tuesday.

Over a 12-month span ending Feb. 28, the Bears quarterback came in eighth in total sales, which included jerseys, T-shirts, bobbleheads, pet products and other items. He ranked ahead of Packers quarterback Jordan Love (ninth) and Packers pass rusher Micah Parsons (10th) after finishing 13th in merch sales as a rookie.

Bills quarterback Josh Allen was first on the list. In second was quarterback Drake Maye, the runner-up to Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford for the NFL MVP Award last season after the Patriots drafted him two spots after Williams with No. 1 pick in 2024. Eagles running back Saquan Barkley was third in sales.

Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels, the No. 2 pick behind Williams in 2024, was fifth.

Eight of the top 11 in sales were quarterbacks: Allen, Maye, Daniels, the Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes (sixth), the Eagles’ Jalen Hurts (seventh), Williams, Love and the Broncos’ Bo Nix (11th).

The other two quarterbacks taken in the first round in Williams’ draft class, the Vikings’ J.J. McCarthy and the Falcons’ Michael Penix, weren’t in the top 50. Neither were any other Bears.

Williams’ popularity swelled during an up-and-down season in which he endured turbulence under new coach Ben Johnson but also delivered some of the NFL’s biggest highlights, led the Bears to several comebacks in the fourth quarter and threw the winning touchdown pass in the final minutes against the Packers for the Bears’ first playoff win in 15 years.

That led to not only an increase in his jersey sales but his selection last week as the cover star for the upcoming “Madden NFL 27” video game.

A year after Johnson debuted his scheme, there’s no question defensive coordinators around the NFL have spent the offseason studying it, looking for an edge.
Williams jumped five spots from his rookie season, when the Bears made him the No. 1 overall pick in the draft.
I have. While not precisely a garden spot, it is not without merits, and snagging the Bears will only enhance the place.
