Katie Price’s estranged husband Lee Andrews ‘is out’ after disappearing and spending weeks locked up in Dubai’s Al Awir jail.
The former glamour model, 48, flew out to the UAE last week to secure her husband’s freedom, only to discover how much was needed for his bail.
She refused to cough up the £140,000 nexessary to free him but said she wasn’t just going to ‘walk away’ from the relationship, which started in January.
The Sun has now reported that Lee is free, with a friend telling the publication that ‘Lee is out’.
It’s still unclear exactly what he was locked up for, with his claims of ‘espionage’ denied by the Dubai authorities, who said it was a ‘private civil matter’.
Despite their rocky relationship, Katie is said to be looking forward to seeing her husband but plans to ‘question’ him herself.
‘I cannot just walk away from my marriage without seeing him again,’ Katie said of the mounting pressure from friends and fans for her to just walk away.
Speaking to The Sun previously, the reality star said: ‘He is coming out, I can’t wait to see him, can’t wait to have our chats.’
Lee, who is in his 40s, vanished from her life two months ago, with a baffled Katie telling the world he had been kidnapped and tied up in a van.
After weeks of silence, Lee’s dad put the star-crossed lovers in touch for a two-minute phone call, and they’ve been reportedly speaking on the phone regularly since.
During those chats, the businessman has allegedly been bragging to his wife that he’s befriended suspected crime boss Daniel Kinahan, who is also locked up at Al Awir.
Sources have denied this, stating their interactions were ‘fleeting at most’.
The insider also shared that Lee was reportedly bragging about how ‘he was arrested in the middle of an arms deal’ near the Abu Dhabi border when authorities moved in and snared him.
Katie flew out to Dubai last week in hopes of seeing Lee in person but was left looking frustrated by a pool, seemingly unable to get through to him.
The entire saga has left Katie needing ‘some time to think’ about the relationship, having tied the knot days after meeting.
‘I still cannot end things with Lee until I’ve spoken to him, but that was a lot,’ she said in her interview.
When the news broke that her husband had been freed, Katie posted a reel promoting a CBD oil saying she’s had a ‘busy busy few days’.
