Manchester United have been urged to join Arsenal and Liverpool in the race to sign Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola.

Barcola enjoyed another impressive season in the French capital, scoring 13 goals in all competitions as Luis Enrique’s side won Ligue 1 and the Champions League.

And the 23-year-old continued his superb form in France’s opening World Cup win over Senegal, scoring his side’s second in a 3-1 victory.

Despite that output, Barcola faces somewhat of an uncertain future after the World Cup, with reports suggesting the winger has asked for a summer move after falling down the pecking order at PSG.

Liverpool are said to have made an approach for Barcola as they look to replace Mohamed Salah, while Mikel Arteta is also keen to bring the Frenchman to Arsenal to strengthen his options in wide areas.

But former Red Devils striker Louis Saha believes United should also be looking to lure Barcola to the Premier League and said the Frenchman is his ‘dream signing’ for Michael Carrick’s squad.

‘Bradley Barcola would be a dream signing at Man Utd because he’s a very direct player,’ Saha told Casinolyze.

‘I have seen an improvement in his mentality. He has won Champions Leagues in a row, he has that confidence and experience.

‘At a very young age, he’s full of energy. You see, it’s not easy to come on as a substitute and be a danger, but he’s capable of dribbling, taking the ball and turning you, and he also has fantastic balance.

‘It’s almost a better balance than Desire Doué. Doué is very gifted and can run 15km in a game, but he doesn’t go behind defenders. I think you saw that with the goal against Senegal, Barcola has the right balance and makes great runs.

Frank Leboeuf: Barcola would be ‘great option’ for Arsenal

French World Cup winner Frank Leboeuf believes his fellow countryman would be a ‘great option’ for new Premier League champions Arsenal.

‘Bradley Barcola, with his pace and talent, is fantastic,’ Lebouef told BoyleSports.

‘He still has an issue with finishing, which he has to improve because he has many chances but doesn’t convert them. We saw that during the Champions League final when he had two big chances but ruined them.

‘Arsenal would be an interesting destination, he is a great option for them. But would Arsenal be interested in him on the left wing? It looks like Gabriel Martinelli might be moving on, so that could be something.’

‘In the Premier League, that is impossible to defend. I really like wingers who are humble enough to threaten the back line with those movements.

‘I think he’s a terrific player for a squad in the Champions League. He’s the type of player that’s always going to help.’

As well as looking to sign a new left winger, United have made it a priority to strengthen in the centre of midfield following the departure of Casemiro.

The Red Devils have already reached an agreement to sign Brazil international Ederson, while they have also opened talks with West Ham over a deal for Mateus Fernandes.

And a move for Fernandes has been endorsed by former United striker Michael Owen, who recently told Metro: ‘Personally if I was Michael Carrick if I was Manchester United, I’d be getting Fernandes from West Ham. I think he’s very good. I think he’s exactly what they need.

‘I watched him a lot. I think he’s a very good pick. He’s reasonably young which is another massive tick. If you’re going to be spending 80 to 100 million then you don’t want to be buying someone that’s in their late 20s.

‘I could see him and Kobbie Mainoo forming a great partnership in there.’
