Police hunt two men after woman was ‘racially abused and assaulted’ on Blackpool pier

The Lancashire Police Force are searching for two men after a woman was allegedly pushed down a set of stairs at Blackpool beach last month.
Authorities have released pictures of the men who they want to speak to in relation to the alleged assault on a woman, which included racial abuse and threats.
Officers have issued a public appeal as part of their investigation into the incident on South Pier Promenade on Friday, May 29.
It was said to have happened at around 6.11pm, and Lancashire Police said officers have been making enquiries since the incident was reported.
The police have now released images of the men in a bid to progress the investigation. Anyone who witnessed what happened, or who has CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage that could help, is being urged to come forward.

In a statement issued this afternoon (June 22), a force spokesperson said: ‘Do you recognise these men? We want to speak to them in connection with our investigation into racist abuse and an assault.
‘At 6:11pm on Friday 29th May we were called to reports of racist abuse and assault on South Pier Promenade, Blackpool. It was reported that two men racially abused a woman, made threats of violence, and pushed her down the stairs at the beach.
‘Whilst we have been making enquiries since this was reported to us, we are now in a position to ask for your help.
‘If you witnessed this incident, have any CCTV/dashcam/doorbell footage, or feel you can help us in any way, please call 101 quoting log 1207 of 29th May.’
