Take That is set to follow the example set by Harry Styles’ Wembley gigs for their own concerts during the heatwave gripping the UK.

Temperature records have (worryingly) been broken, commuters have faced public transport chaos and a hosepipe ban is in effect in Kent.

A red weather warning is still in place for London through Friday, as pop trio Take That is set to take to the London Stadium to mark the return of their 2009 show, The Circus Live!

Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen will be on stage at the east London venue for three nights, with The Script and Belinda Carlisle on as special guests.

However, it will not be the greatest day of fans’ lives if they feel like they’re being boiled alive, so the Stratford stadium has shared new guidelines for the concerts this weekend.

As the 90s band returns to the stage on Thursday night, the stadium has confirmed that the price of water inside the venue will be slashed in half.

They are also permitted attendees to bring in reusable water bottles, including metal ones, as well as plastic soft drink and water bottles with the tops off. Glass and cans are still prohibited.

There will also be several water stations available throughout the stadium for attendees to make use of. A list of all refill stations is on the stadium website.

Smart Water bottles on sale inside will be marked down by 50 per cent ‘to support guest safety and enhance the overall experience’.

The stadium statement read: ‘We are closely monitoring the forecast for our shows on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and have measures in place to support the safety and well-being of all attendees.

‘Fans are advised not to camp outside the stadium or within Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, as this is against local bylaws and can be unsafe in high temperatures.’

The stadium has advised fans who arrive early in the day to find shade within the park ‘under trees and planting’. They have also urged concertgoers to dress appropriately and come with sun protection and water.

It comes after Wembley Stadium announced a similar rule change this week to accommodate Harry Styles fans and their extensive sequin attire.

Organisers explained that empty soft-plastic bottles, with tops off, are fine to bring into the stadium. They also said they be offering free sun cream to prevent burning.
