Lakers reveal 2026 Summer League roster, schedule

LOS ANGELES — The Lakers set the stage for summer league play on Wednesday, releasing their full schedule for the California Classic and the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, along with their roster for the weeks ahead.

Headlining a roster coached by Lakers assistant coach Ty Abbott, first-round draft pick Cameron Carr will join second-year wing Adou Thiero – who did not play summer league games as a rookie due to injury. Other players on the Lakers’ roster include Chris Manon, who they tendered a two-way qualifying offer for earlier this week, a league source told the Southern California News Group, as well as undrafted free agents AK Okereke (Vanderbilt) and Peter Suder (Miami-Ohio).

Okereke, a forward, and Suder, a guard, signed two-way contracts with the Lakers following the NBA draft last week. Additional undrafted free agents who the Lakers signed to Exhibit 10 deals – allowing the players to join the Lakers for training camp and receive a bonus if they are waived before the start of the season but stick with the franchise’s G League squad – are Syracuse forward William Kyle III, Saint Louis center Robbie Avila, Marquette guard Chase Ross and Florida State guard Robert McCray V.

Forward Arthur Kaluma, forward Anton Watson, forward Luke Goode and guard William Hickey all played for the South Bay Lakers (who have since relocated to Coachella Valley) in the G League last season and will play for the Lakers this summer. Filling out the final three roster spots are fourth-year guard Jon Elmore, fifth-year guard and 2018 first-round pick Zhaire Smith, and undrafted free agent guard Jacari White from Virginia.

The Lakers’ Summer League squad will first play in the eight-team California Classic in San Francisco, playing against the Golden State Warriors, Miami Heat and San Antonio Spurs at the Chase Center from Friday-Monday. Their first game is Friday night against the Warriors’ Gold team at 7:30 p.m. PT. The Sacramento Kings are also hosting California Classic games at the Golden 1 Center involving the Milwaukee Bucks, Brooklyn Nets and a Warriors Blue squad.

The Lakers then shift to Las Vegas from July 9-19, where their first four games will be played in the main gym, UNLV’s Thomas and Mack Center. They’ll face the Oklahoma City Thunder (July 10), the Dallas Mavericks (July 11), the Clippers (July 14) and the Chicago Bulls (July 16) before finishing play in the four-team championship tournament or a consolation game. All games, except the one against Chicago (3 p.m.), will tip off at 7 p.m. PT.
