‘Dutton Ranch’ Finale Details — Plus, Will There Be a Season 2?

<p id=”par-3_48″>If it seems like we were just settling in with <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/yellowstone-kelly-reilly-playing-beth-dutton-like-going-into-battle.html/”><em>Yellowstone</em>’s Beth Dutton</a> (Kelly Reilly) and Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser) in their new life in Texas, that’s not surprising. <em>Dutton Ranch </em>premiered May 15. But with just nine episodes in its first season, the finale is already here. </p>

<p id=”par-4_79″>The season-ending episode – titled “El Padrino” – drops Friday, July 3 on Paramount+. It also airs on the Paramount Network at 8 p.m. ET/PT. The description of the episode is deliberately vague: “Rip and Beth confront a danger that threatens everything.” But based on where we left things at the end of episode 8 (and the dramatic finale teaser), we’re predicting an epis showdown between Beth and Rip and corrupt 10 Petal Ranch owner Beulah Jackson (Annette Bening).</p>

<h2 class=”wp-block-heading” id=”h-will-there-be-a-dutton-ranch-season-2″>Will there be a ‘Dutton Ranch’ Season 2? </h2>

<p id=”par-5_43″>We’re not sure exactly how <em>Dutton Ranch </em>Season 1 will end. But our money is on a cliffhanger. Those can be frustrating for viewers who are eager for answers. But the good news is that Paramount+ has already ordered <em>Dutton Ranch </em>Season 2. </p>

<p id=”par-6_76″>There was little doubt that the latest addition to the <em>Yellowstone </em>universe would get a sophomore season. The <em>Dutton Ranch</em> renewal news came roughly a month after the series premiere became the biggest original series debut in Paramount+ history, with 12.9 million viewers globally in the seven days following its premiere. The series also delivered 2.9 million total viewers during its two-episode debut on Paramount Network, making it the biggest series premiere on cable since 2023.</p>

<p id=”par-8_56″>So far, there’s no word on when <em>Dutton Ranch </em>might return for its second season, but chances are, we won’t see episodes until sometime in mid-2027 at the earliest. The show has also undergone a shakeup behind the scenes, with Benjamin Cavell stepping in as showrunner and executive producer following season 1 showrunner Chad Feehan’s exit.</p>
