Universal Studios Hollywood to hold passholder previews for Fast & Furious coaster
Universal Studios Hollywood plans to move forward with passholder previews on the new Fast & Furious coaster after announcing plans to install additional sound barriers along the track to address noise complaints from nearby residents.
Universal Studios Hollywood plans to hold passholder previews on Aug. 19, 20, 21 and 23 for Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift ahead of the new roller coaster’s official grand opening.

Universal passholders must RSVP to register for the previews that will require advance reservations.
Universal warns space will be limited for the Fast & Furious coaster previews and reservations will be distributed to passholders on a first come, first served basis.

The passholder previews will be subject to occasional delays, closures and cancellations since the ride remains in “technical rehearsal” mode.

Universal has not yet set an official opening date for the highly anticipated new roller coaster. Technical rehearsals can start and stop at any time prior to the official grand opening of the ride.
Universal is expected to complete construction by early September on the two new sound barriers that will be installed along the coaster track to address noise complaints from residents in the nearby Toluca Lake community.
The new Fast & Furious roller coaster features 360-degree rotating coaster vehicles designed to look like drifting race cars from the street racing film franchise that has earned $7 billion at the worldwide box office.
