Marcellus Wiley and <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/why-did-annemarie-wiley-leave-the-real-housewives-of-beverly-hills.html/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Annemarie Wiley‘s names have been in the news a lot lately after the <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/Real-Housewives-Of-Beverly-Hills/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum filed for divorce from the former <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/nfl/?swcfpc=1″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>NFL star, claiming years of abuse

Following a domestic dispute at a Florida hotel room on July 4, 2026, in which Annemarie told police that Marcellus had threatened to kill her and purposefully poked her, she cited a long-term pattern of “physical, sexual, and emotional abuse,” as well as “financial control and intimidation” in court docs. In subsequent papers filed in Los Angeles, she alleged an escalating pattern of abuse spanning their 12-year marriage.

Marcellus vehemently denied the allegations of abuse and threats, calling them baseless and fabricated. In August 2026, Florida prosecutors declined to file formal domestic battery charges against him, stating that the testimonial evidence lacked physical corroboration. Marcellus publicly celebrated the dismissal on social media, maintaining his innocence and insisted the legal process will vindicate him.

Despite the criminal charges being dropped in Florida, the California divorce and domestic violence restraining order proceedings remained active. Now, <a href=”https://www.tmz.com/2026/08/14/marcellus-wiley-estranged-wife-annemarie-seeks-financial-support-amid-divorce/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>TMZ has reported that Annemarie is asking a Los Angeles court to order Marcellus to start paying child and spousal support, plus more than $200,000 in legal fees amid their ongoing divorce battle.

She did not request a specific amount but wants Marcellus to continue paying for the lifestyle she and their children are accustomed to, which would include private school tuition and other expenses totaling around $40,000 a month.

Money seems to be a contentious point in this case and given Annemarie and Marcellus’ Life Path numbers, that’s been an issue throughout the marriage.

According to <a href=”https://numerologist.com/numerology/life-path-5-and-8-compatibility” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>Numerologist.com, for Life Path numbers of 5 (Annemarie) and 8 (Marcellus) “money can be a specific friction point. The 8 tends to be serious about financial planning; the 5 tends to not be … experience and the next opportunity genuinely matter more to a 5 than accumulation. But the 8, whose relationship with material security is foundational, can experience a partner who doesn’t share that seriousness as genuinely threatening to the structure they were trying to build.

“The 8 can also become controlling in ways that feel like management rather than love — and the 5 notices this faster than almost any other number. When the 8’s desire to build something solid slides into directing the 5’s life, the 5 will resist, and the resistance will be significant.”

The two also had different views about commitment as a “friction point in this pairing comes from a genuine difference in what commitment looks like. For the 8, commitment means building something lasting. It means making decisions with the long-term structure in mind. It means a partner who shows up reliably and treats the shared life as something serious.

Marcellus Wiley issues brutal takedown of ex after prosecutors drop domestic violence case https://t.co/OgkJI9RTZq pic.twitter.com/JRrs3OlboD
— New York Post (@nypost) August 11, 2026

“For the 5, commitment means choosing this person and this relationship while remaining free to remain themselves within it. It does not mean pre-specifying every aspect of the future … The 5 can be genuinely committed and still resist having everything scheduled, systematized, and locked in. To the 5, that’s not instability; it’s just life.”

Because “these definitions are not identical, in practice that gap creates real friction. The 8 experiences the 5’s preference for openness as a failure to commit. The 5 experiences the 8’s need to plan and systematize as an attempt to cage them. Neither reading is quite fair to the other person, but both make sense from inside the number.”
