Breaking down the Bears’ 34-10 victory Saturday against the Browns at Soldier Field:
Perfect
With assistant head coach/wide receivers coach Antwaan Randle El calling plays in the second half, third-string quarterback Case Keenum went 9-for-10 for 151 yards with two touchdowns and a perfect 158.3 passer rating.
His 49-yard touchdown pass to running back Salvon Ahmed was caught behind the line of scrimmage.
‘‘I told the QB room that those all count as passing yards,’’ Keenum said with a smile. ‘‘He did all the work.’’
That’s two
Six days after signing with the Bears, cornerback Beanie Bishop had two overthrown passes land in his arms — one from Shedeur Sanders and another from Dillon Gabriel. Even weirder: It was the same play-call.
‘‘Gotta catch the ones that come to you,’’ Bishop said.
Bishop intercepted four passes in 2024 as a rookie with the Steelers. As a member of the Saints, he was suspended for three games by the NFL in March for reportedly violating its substance-abuse policy. He must serve that ban if he makes the roster.
Injury update
Four Bears left with injuries: tight end Nikola Kalinic (right knee), safety Xavier Woods (groin) and linebackers Ruben Hyppolite (shoulder) and Nephi Sewell (concussion).
Coach Ben Johnson said defensive end Montez Sweat and left tackle Braxton Jones will return to practice this week, but he had a one-word answer when asked when cornerback Kyler Gordon will return from a calf injury: ‘‘Unknown.’’
Laces out
Cairo Santos made field goals of 49 and 51 yards but missed a 50-yarder in the second quarter when the laces on the ball were facing in, not out.
What’s next
Practice at 3 p.m. Sunday at Halas Hall.
It’s unlikely the NFL office would hold any sort of meeting, informal or not, without the Bears’ blessing.

In 2019, Large tore a hamstring — and an egg-shaped piece of his pelvic bone along with it — in a scrimmage before the start of his senior high school season. He spent 35 days on bed rest and wondered what would become of his football career.
