5 injured when car and pickup fall 200 feet down 405 Freeway embankment in Van Nuys
Five people were injured when two vehicles crashed and fell about 200 feet down a 405 Freeway embankment, landing next to Woodley Park in Van Nuys.
The crash was reported at 7:03 p.m. Saturday on the southbound freeway just south of Victory Boulevard, the California Highway Patrol reported.
Video from the scene showed firefighters using hydraulic tools to free an injured man from an overturned pickup truck. A sedan was also overturned down the embankment nearby.

In addition to the injured man, the video also showed three women and another man near the car.
All five were taken by ambulance to hospitals for treatment, Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Jennifer Middleton said. Their conditions were not immediately available.
The CHP was investigating the cause of the crash.
