Pop culture pundit and producer Richard Osman has dished the dirt on a series of The Traitors that went so off the rails it couldn’t be broadcast.
The Pointless presenter has claimed that an unnamed international version of the popular reality show was shelved because of a certain conversation held in the castle.
‘I think I’m probably not even allowed to talk about it,’ Richard, 55,told podcaster Jack Dean.
‘There is one series in one territory where something was discussed at length in the castle, which led to the show not being able to [air].’
Richard was appearing on Jack’s Happy Hour Podcast when he made the remarks during a conversation about The Traitors, where he revealed his favourite series.
And shock horror! It wasn’t any of the UK versions (not even season two).
‘The best ever series of The Traitors, I think, is the first ever Australian one, which I think is still on iPlayer,’ Osman said before revealing he hated the second series of the Aussie version.
‘[It’s the] single most frustrating series of Traitors,’ he began. ‘Because there’s a Traitor in there who’s so obviously a Traitor and a gang of Faithfuls who are so easily led.

Speaking about the show’s villains, Jack asked what’s to stop someone from going on the show to deliberately ruin the game, and Osman explained most people aren’t like that.
Behind the scenes, if you see someone is going in that direction, you can pull them aside,’ he said.
‘Most people are fairly decent human beings, and they’ve passed psych tests… You just have to kind of trust in the goodness of people’s nature.’
Richard recently revealed that he believes The Celebrity Traitors season 2 will be released on September 23. However, those reports have since been denied.
While the BBC hasn’t given any concrete details about the show’s return, it’s expected that it will begin towards the end of September or the start of October.
