Katie Price has hit back at claims she ‘hijacked’ daughter Princess Andre’s big moment at the National Television Awards – and has brought out the video evidence.
The former glamour model, 48, unexpectedly found herself at the centre of another red carpet row after posing alongside her 18-year-old daughter at Tuesday night’s ceremony at London’s O2 Arena.
Princess had arrived alongside older brother Junior Andre, 21, with her own reality series up for an award, before she was later photographed with her mum.
A report subsequently claimed Katie had been ‘stalking’ Princess on the carpet waiting for an opportunity to get a picture with her, while an unnamed onlooker alleged the teenager had been ‘forced’ to pose alongside her.
Katie has now firmly disputed that version of events.
Posting a picture of herself and Princess together at the NTAs on her Instagram Story, she wrote: ‘Hijacked? Stalked?
‘I don’t know where you get your information from, but this couldn’t be further from the truth. Watch my next video for the proof!’
And, true to her word, the mum-of-five followed it with footage of the encounter itself.
In the clip, Princess can be seen approaching her mother on the red carpet before the pair come together.
Katie wrote over the footage: ‘This video clearly shows Princess approaching Katie on the red carpet, not Katie hijacking her moment or stalking the red carpet like it has been reported.’
The denial comes after a source claimed to the Mirror that Katie had been ‘stalking’ her daughter on the carpet ‘ready to pounce for a joint photo’.
The source also alleged Princess appeared ‘sad and subdued’ while posing alongside her mum and claimed Katie ‘knew exactly what she was doing’ by wearing an attention-grabbing outfit.
Katie’s video, however, shows Princess approaching her mother rather than the other way around, something Katie evidently believes puts paid to suggestions she chased her down for the photograph.
Katie shares Princess and Junior with her ex-husband Peter Andre, 53, whom she met while appearing on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! in 2004.
It was already an eventful NTAs for Katie before the family photographs became a talking point.

The TV personality caused a stir when she arrived in a white shirt, tiny black-and-nude lace shorts and tights, with her hair slicked back and dramatic dark eye make-up.
She later revealed there was a practical reason for the particularly heavy make-up: she had undergone yet more cosmetic work just one day before the ceremony.
During a trip to Brussels for corrective breast surgery, Katie said she decided to have filler injected into her temples while already under general anaesthetic.
Speaking on The Katie Price Show podcast, she explained that she wanted to address the hollowness around the sides of her face that can occur with age or weight loss – but woke up considerably more swollen than anticipated.
‘So he put some filler in and my face – I didn’t know – would swell up like this,’ she said.
Katie tasked make-up artist Mitchell Halliday with covering the bruising and swelling, telling him he could ‘do whatever he wants’.
The result was one of the most talked-about beauty looks of the evening, with bold black eye make-up inspired by an oversized pair of sunglasses.
After photographs from the ceremony circulated online, Katie complained that some coverage had made her look dramatically different to how she appeared in person.
‘In the right light and in life, I loved it and everyone commented about it and I loved how I looked,’ she said on her podcast. ‘It’s exactly what I wanted.’
She also accused people of circulating pictures taken under unflattering lighting, but appeared relatively unfazed by the attention overall.
Referring to herself in the third person, she concluded: ‘But she still made the headlines, so I don’t care.’
