Casey Affleck brought his rarely-seen son Indiana along for a family night at theVenice Film Festival – and the resemblance between the pair was hard to miss.
The 22-year-old joined his Oscar-winning father on the red carpet for the premiere of Company, Casey’s new film, alongside uncle Ben Affleck and Casey’s partner Caylee Cowan.
Indiana looked remarkably like a younger version of his 51-year-old dad as the family posed together in Italy, sporting the same dark hair and similar features.
He also appeared to have inherited the Affleck family’s height, standing almost as tall as his 6ft 4in uncle Ben, who proudly wrapped an arm around his nephew for photographs.
Indiana put his own spin on traditional red carpet dressing, wearing a black suit decorated with white Western-style embroidery around the lapels and completing the look with a ribbon necktie.
The appearance offered a rare glimpse of Casey’s eldest child, whom he shares with ex-wife Summer Phoenix.
The former couple, who divorced in 2017, are also parents to 18-year-old son Atticus.
While Indiana has largely stayed away from his famous family’s Hollywood spotlight, he has dipped his toe into the fashion industry, previously modelling for the likes of Bode and GQ.
He has now followed his father and uncle into the film world too, appearing in Company alongside his younger brother.
The gothic mystery marks Casey’s third feature-length film as a writer-director, and he made it a full family operation behind the scenes.
Ben, 54, served as a co-producer through his and Matt Damon’s company together, Artists Equity, while Casey cast girlfriend Caylee, 28, and both of his sons.
Atticus has one of the film’s larger roles for his screen debut, while Indiana has a smaller part and also worked behind the scenes during production.
Speaking at a press conference ahead of the premiere, Casey described working with his children as one of the ‘best professional experiences’ of his life.
‘I think they grew up around it and had some interest in it and a sort of innate understanding of what it was,’ he said of Indiana and Atticus.
Casey suggested acting had become something of a family tradition, recalling that his own father had worked in theatre for many years.
‘And so it’s passed down, I suppose, which is a really nice thing. And they were willing to be a part of this,’ he added.
The actor revealed that he had initially struggled to find performers for two teenage parts in Company, with his sons helping him by taking part in script read-throughs at home.
Casey was so impressed that they eventually ended up in the finished movie.
Atticus used his spring break from high school to shoot his scenes, while Indiana stayed throughout production and worked across other departments as well as appearing on camera.
Company is set across several time periods, beginning on a winter night in 1975 when a mysterious woman named Evelyn arrives unexpectedly at a holiday gathering.
Her appearance sparks a series of interconnected stories stretching back decades, with the cast also including Nick Nolte, Adelaide Clemens, Scoot McNairy, Emily Alyn Lind and Ben Mendelsohn.
The film received a four-minute standing ovation following its Venice premiere.
It was also an emotional project for the Affleck family, with Company dedicated to Casey and Ben’s parents, who both died this year.
Their mother Chris died aged 83 following a pancreatic cancer diagnosis, while the brothers revealed this week that their father Timothy had also died in 2026.
And with Indiana and Atticus now making their own first steps into the industry, the Venice premiere showed that Hollywood’s Affleck dynasty may already be entering its next generation.
