Daphne Joy has addressed her leaked sex tape with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, sharing how she ‘broke her own boundaries’ to please him.
In a since-deleted post, the model said she had ‘never consented’ to being filmed and ‘the person in the video’ had attempted to blackmail her with it for money.
The leaked video allegedly shows Joy engaging in sexual intercourse with Sly Diggler, a sex worker, as Combs watched.
This comes two years after a lawsuit, filed by Combs’ former producer and videographer, Rodney ‘Lil Rod’ Jones, which named Joy as ‘a sex worker’ herself.
At the time, she strenuously denied ever being a sex worker, saying the claim ‘is 100% false and a character assassination.’
After the sex tape leaked, she wrote: ‘Everybody plays the fool sometime, and I have been the biggest fool. I just wanted my man at the time to be happy and satisfied.
‘I wanted to fulfil all his desires. Even if that meant breaking my own boundaries.’
Joy and Combs dated on and off between 2021 and 2024, with the pair first pictured together on a walk in Miami Beach before doing shots at his mansion.
‘I deeply loved him,’ she continued. ‘And I believed he loved me too. It’s still so painful for me to process the harsh reality and truth of that relationship, but as time passes and in my quiet moments, I realise that it was far from love.’
She revealed that when she was first contacted about the tape, she fainted, branding it ‘triggering and painful’ to revisit that ‘abuse’.
At the time, she said an outlet that had come to her for comment before publishing, but did not go ahead over concerns about revenge porn.
Joy went on to say how difficult it was to watch the video and see herself ‘so lost’, adding she wanted to tell her younger self ‘that wasn’t love’.
‘I wish so many things were different but I can’t take back the hands of time,’ she added.
Joy, who previously appeared in films like Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides and Set Up, summarised by saying she just wanted to move forward.
While she is hoping to move on, her ex, 50 Cent, shared his reaction to the video on his own social media.
‘Free Diddy, he has gone through enough being born with no penis. LOL,’ he wrote, posting screenshots of the alleged tape.
He continued: ‘She’s not a victim, Sire is. Can you imagine going to eighth grade to find out this is your mom.’
The former couple, who dated between 2011 and 2012, share a son: 14-year-old Sire.
They split after Joy accused the In Da Club rapper, real name Curtis Jackson, of being abusive, which he denied.
After she was named as a ‘sex worker’ in one of the Combs legal filings, which she denied, Jackson moved to have sole custody of Sire.
‘How would u feel if Sire was the one in handcuffs? For nothing,’ Joy wrote in a statement two years ago.
She continued: ‘We moved to New York to give you the opportunity to be a father to your son and you saw him 10 times out of the 2 years that we lived 1 mile away from you. I am tired of upholding and protecting an image to our son that you have never even earned.
‘Let’s put the real focus on your true evil actions of raping me and physically abusing me. You are no longer my oppressor and my God will handle you from this point on.
‘You have permanently damaged the last hope I had for you as a father to preserve our family with these last and final false claims made against me You have broken our hearts for the last and final time.’
In response, Jackson’s statement to Metro read: ‘The disturbing allegations in the sworn pleadings recently filed in a court case related to Daphne Joy the mother of my 12-year-old child, has required me to take all necessary legal actions to protect my son Sire.
‘The most recent false and baseless accusations by Daphne Joy are clearly in response to my decision to seek sole custody of my son.
‘My son Sire is my main priority and keeping him in a safe environment is my only focus at this time.’
Jackson also has another son named Marquise Jackson, whom he welcomed with Shaniqua Tompkins in 1996, but the pair are estranged.
