Boyzone fans were left worried after Mikey Graham appeared for only a handful of songs during the band’s long-awaited farewell reunion concert.

The 53-year-old singer joined his bandmates for One For The Road: Live at London’s Emirates Stadium on Thursday night, marking the first time the group had performed together in nearly seven years.

But concertgoers were surprised when the show began without him.

Instead, Ronan Keating, Keith Duffy, and Shane Lynch took to the stage alone, leaving fans wondering where Graham was.

He later emerged to perform Words and two other songs before returning for the encore, Life Is A Rollercoaster, but his limited involvement quickly became a talking point among those in attendance.

According to reports, Graham remained seated throughout much of his appearance.

One audience member told the Daily Mail: ‘Mikey performed three songs with the boys while sat on a chair and Ronan stayed with him for Life Is A Rollercoaster.

‘It was an extremely emotional show, they kept talking about their love for each other as five and said the Lord’s Prayer for Stephen. They wore red for Stephen as it was his favourite colour.

‘The boys didn’t give an explanation about why Mikey was only a part of it. His appearance on stage caused concern amongst the audience.’

The concert was always expected to be an emotional affair, with the group paying tribute throughout the night to former bandmate Stephen Gately, who died in 2009 aged 33.

Boyzone originally formed in Dublin in 1993 and went on to become one of the biggest boybands of the 1990s, selling millions of records worldwide with hits including No Matter What, Picture of You, Love Me For A Reason and Words.

While Ronan became the group’s breakout solo star, Graham was often viewed as one of Boyzone’s quieter members and has largely stayed away from the spotlight in recent years, opting instead for a quiet life in rural Ireland.

Ahead of the reunion, fans had been thrilled to see the surviving members putting aside past tensions to celebrate the band’s legacy together.

However, with no explanation given during the concert for his reduced role, many left the stadium speculating about the reason behind his limited involvement.

One fan wrote on X: ‘Why did Mikey Graham not do the full show? He came out half way through for 3 songs and just sat there? What’s the reason?’

Despite concerns, the crowd reportedly gave Graham a warm reception when he appeared on stage, with many visibly moved by seeing the four surviving members together again.

Another fan wrote: ‘I cried like a baby when Mikey Graham didn’t come out with the boyz, then cried again when he came out.’

The band are due to perform a second farewell show, with fans hopeful Graham will once again join his former bandmates for the emotional send-off.
