Celebrity Traitors is taking the nation by storm, and fans are already worried for one contestant.

After almost a week of torture, we’ll finally find out the result of the first tense Roundtable vote, with Kate Garraway and Niko Omilana both on three votes each.

The first celebrity will be banished from the game on Wednesday’s episode, with the Good Morning Britain presenter sparking suspicion with her overreactions and use of the word ‘flabbergasted’.

Admittedly, there isn’t always a lot to go on for the Faithful so early on, but viewers think Niko could be facing the chop for a much more flimsy reason.

Taking to Reddit, @Dull_Ad4861 wrote: ‘I hate that Niko is being reduced to a “YouTube prankster” by some of the other contestants. What someone does for a living shouldn’t even be a factor in the game because how does that even correlate to them being a potential traitor?’

They pointed out that the actors on the show aren’t being targeted for their profession, insisting the attention on Niko has ‘no logic’.

‘I hope he doesn’t get banished on Wednesday because I am really enjoying watching him so far and I want to see his full potential,’ they added, with plenty of people agreeing.

‘It’s not the first time this has happened. Remember Kaz getting voted out cos he was a doctor and that stupid “doctor helping people by day, murdering people at night” reasoning,’ recalled @DistortedNoise.

And another user, @Low_Food2893, said: ‘I found his points in the round table on Thursday solid, so clearly he’s an articulate person.

‘However it is upsetting that he’s just reduced to being “that prankster from YouTube” by the older contestants which may be why they are targetting him. (sic)’

Others pointed out that they’re ‘not sure what he did wrong’ to be in the running for banishment, although some people insisted they understood the group’s thinking.

‘It’s pretty impossible to comprehend him not wanting to be a traitor based off the persona he has used throughout his career. I wouldn’t have trusted him after that whatsoever,’ argued @seanypthemic.

Of course, while a person’s preference is taken into account, their job doesn’t have a great deal of baring on whether they’re a Traitor or Faithful.

Even Kate’s own kids think she’s been acting suspicious, but we’ll have to wait and see what happens this week.

The Celebrity Traitors continues on Wednesday at 9pm on BBC1.
