Celebrity medium Tyler Henry is on the mend after undergoing his second brain surgery in six months, marking his third overall procedure since first being treated for a brain cyst at 18 years old.
According to People, Henryâs husband, Clint Godwin, shared the update in an Instagram post on Nov. 13, explaining that doctors recommended another operation after swelling symptoms resurfaced. âTylerâs medical team decided another surgery to address the recurring cyst and swelling was the best option,â Godwin wrote, adding that the Hollywood Medium star âis recovering well.â
The 29-year-old mediumâs most recent procedure was to treat a colloid cyst, a rare, slow-growing lesion that can cause swelling and fluid buildup in the brain if left untreated. Godwin thanked fans for their support, writing, âThey say the third time is a charm!â and expressed gratitude for the messages of encouragement Henry has received.
A Long Health Battle and a Supportive Partner
Henry has been open about his ongoing health journey. He first revealed his diagnosis in May 2025, when he underwent surgery to remove what he described as a âcolloid tumor near the center of my brain.â At the time, Henry assured followers the operation was a success and that most of the tumor had been removed. âIâll be on bedrest for a month and look forward to getting back to doing readings,â he wrote on Instagram, thanking fans for their well wishes.
The May surgery came shortly after Henry and Godwin tied the knot at the Beverly Hills Courthouse, a week before his operation. The couple had been together since 2016, and Henry later shared that their marriage brought him peace going into surgery. âAs we signed the papers, Clint looked up and saw 2:22 on the clock â his sign from his late grandfather,â Henry recalled to E! News. âIt was such a meaningful moment.â
Finding Clarity and Gratitude After Surgery
The âLife After Death with Tyler Henryâ star also reflected on how his surgeries have impacted his work. Speaking to E! News, he said that recovering from brain inflammation actually sharpened his psychic abilities. âI was worried with anything related to the brain that it might affect my ability,â he shared. âBut I found that not having brain inflammation actually made things a lot clearer.â
Henry first underwent emergency brain surgery at 18, when doctors discovered a congenital cyst that had caused dangerous swelling. Reflecting on that experience in a 2023 Instagram post, he wrote that it gave him âa firsthand awareness of the fragility of lifeâ and deepened his connection to his calling as a medium.
Henry remains grateful for his medical team and supporters as he stated in his own words from his earlier post:
âThis isnât my first rodeo with this, and I have so much to be thankful for. Iâll see yâall very soon with lots of thought-provoking subjects â and of course, readings.â
