You’ll soon be able to see Channing Tatum in a new movie that just so happens to also feature the daughter of an iconic rockstar. Eve Hewson, daughter of U2 frontman Bono and his wife, activist Ali Hewson, has been cast in the flick that’s being made by Brad Pitt. Talk about star power!
Eve & Channing’s Film Shows a Dangerous & ‘Legendary’ Race
Hewson and Tatum are set to appear together “in Isle of Man for Amazon MGM Studios,” according to Deadline.
Just Jared explains that “while plot details are being kept under wraps, it was previously reported that the movie is about the Isle of Man Tourist Trophy races.”
Indeed, “the legendary Isle of Man TT motorcycle race will be the subject of a film and docuseries from Brad Pitt and Channing Tatumâs production companies, Mediawan-owned Plan B Entertainment and Free Association,” Variety reported.
“The Isle of Man TT is one of the most famous and deadly races for motorcyclists around the world,” per Variety. “Taking place on a small island nation in the Irish Sea, the race traces its heritage back to the early 1900s when road racing was outlawed in England, and racers found refuge on the Isle of Man.”
Variety also tells potential viewers of the film (or anyone whose interest has been piqued by the race itself) that “a single lap of the course is made up of 37.7 miles across the islandâs road systems as the bikes tackle country lanes and city streets at speeds up to 200 mph. Since 1903, there have been more than 150 deaths during the race or its practices, including five in 2022.”
Eve Has ‘Built a Dynamic and Compelling Career’
GettyWhile we don’t know who Eve will play in the movie, we have no doubt that she’ll nail the role. That assumption is based on her past work, which includes a slew of appearances in both movies and shows.
“Hewson has steadily built a dynamic and compelling career and risen the ranks among leading actors in the industry as she has built out a diversified slate of projects, across TV and film,” Deadline noted. “She was most recently seen in Jay Kelly, directed by Noah Baumbach and starring George Clooney and Adam Sandler. Next up, Hewson will appear in Disclosure Day directed by Steven Spielberg for Universal Pictures, and is also set to star in an upcoming feature from Lenny Abrahamson opposite Tom Burke.”
“On television, she most recently appeared in the Netflix limited series The Perfect Couple and the second season of the dark comedy series Bad Sisters,” per Deadline. “Additional television credits include Flora and Son for Apple TV+, Behind Her Eyes for Netflix, Working Titleâs adaptation of The Luminaries, and The Knick. Hewsonâs previous film credits include Robin Hood, Papillon, Paper Year,  The True Adventures of Wolfboy, Tesla, Bridge of Spies, Enough Said, and This Must Be the Place.“
