Charlie Dimmock has left fans amazed with her transformation, decades after first starring on TV.

The Ground Force star, 57, is back on our screens for a new series of Garden Rescue.

As she worked her magic on a garden in Port Sunlight, Wirral, with designer Chris Hull, she left viewers gushing over how she had ‘come a long way’.

Charlie – who was open about not wearing a bra during filming – specialised in water features on Ground Force in the late 90s and early 2000s.

She went on to present the likes of The Joy of Gardening and River Walks, making rare appearances until Garden Rescue began in 2016.

After her appearance on the latest episode, viewer Dastan wrote: ‘ It’s amazing to see how much Charlie Dimmock has transformed over the years!

‘From her nineties TV debut alongside Alan Titchmarsh to her current role on Garden Rescue, she has certainly come a long way.

‘It’s great to see her still passionate about gardening and bringing joy to so many people. Keep up the great work, Charlie!’

Sarah wrote on Facebook: ‘I love Charlie Dimmock. Always has a positive energy and a huge smile.’

‘Lovely lady beautiful smile,’ Sheila added, while Lynn said: ‘I love Charlie! Her experience and character shine through. A genuinely lovely woman who is completely real xxx.’

The episode saw Charlie and Chris transform Emma and Nathan’s scruffy cottage garden into a ‘Balinese paradise’, complete with bamboo, a water feature and plants all around.

‘It’s going to be a fabulous place for them to come and sit,’ Charlie reflected, adding: ‘I’ve got my inner peace back.’

The couple were just as thrilled and speechless to have their small ‘traditional’ patio made into a tropical sanctuary, on a budget of just £6000.

Instead bland grass and concrete steps up towards their home, their garden was transformed with a pergola, waterfall and extended patio, with an Indonesian-inspired boardwalk and exotic plants.

‘It’s beyond anything I expected,’ Nathan commented, saying they felt like they were in ‘another world’.

This comes after Charlie admitted her own garden is a ‘disaster’, telling The Express: ‘I’m going to try and make my garden look good because I’ve been doing this so long, it looks like a disaster area!’

She added: ‘I have to say my garden isn’t always in tip-top condition.

‘Unfortunately I tend to be away working at the more critical busy times (spring and summer) so I often get behind.

‘With all gardens it’s best to do maintenance frequently and regularly that way you actually make the maintenance easier.’

Garden Rescue is available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
