Jamie Lynn Sigler provided an update about her longtime friend Christina Applegate, who was hospitalized recently amid her ongoing battle with multiple sclerosis.
“She’s doing better, she’s getting stronger, she’s doing well,â Sigler said during an appearance on the May 5 episode of Watch What Happens Live. âWe love her.”
“She’s talked openly about having to be in and out of the hospital for different things,” she added.
In April, Applegate was reportedly hospitalized in Los Angeles, with TMZ reporting at the time that she was admitted in late March. She shared a statement a few days later, providing an honest update, while explaining that “health issues are a constant for me.” This coincides with what she said in an interview with InStyle, revealing that she’s “been in the hospital upwards of 30 times.âÂ
Amid her battle with MS, her friends have opened up about her fight, with a source sharing with The Daily Mail that “Christina is a fighter, but her battle with MS has been treacherous. She has better days and really bad days; she doesnât have great days. Sheâs always dealing with something. It sucks.âÂ
âBut when she does look at things positively, it makes her feel better in the moment because she has so many friends that are there for her, even to listen to her, cry with her, and anything in between.â
Christina Applegate Has Been ‘Helpful’ During Jamie-Lynn Sigler’s Battle With MS
During her Watch What Happens Live appearance, Sigler also talked about how “helpful” Applegate has been as the “Sopranos” alum has been public about her battle with MS since 2016.
âIt’s just really a chance for her and I to speak openly and honestly about what we’re dealing with,â Sigler said. âSometimes when you get very specific on what you’re going through, it becomes universal because we’re all just trying our best.”

On April 20, Applegate shared a post on Instagram with an emotional statement, providing an update about her health.
“Thank you for the outpouring of love and well wishes. Health issues are a constant for me, but Iâm a strong chick and Iâm getting stronger and better every day. Iâm taking a moment to focus on my health, but Iâll be back with more to say soon enough,” she captioned the photo.
And with that, many comments were left, sending love and well wishes to the actress.
