Claudia Schiffer shared a glimpse into her life on Instagram on August 13, showing fans what she’s been up to as she took a plunge in an ice bath. Not only does she look great, but she has also proven herself extremely good at withstanding freezing temperatures.
Claudia Schiffer Stuns in Swimsuit During Ice Plunge
The former supermodel posted a video of herself getting into the water. Her long blonde hair is tied into a ponytail, and her swimsuit is a full-piece with a floral design by French designer brand, ChloeÌ. It also has a pretty tying detail on the shoulder of her right arm.
Schiffer wore a stylish pair of white sunglasses to complete her look.
â3 minute ice plunge in my beautiful @chloe bathing suit,â she wrote in the caption, explaining what she was getting up to in the post. She added an ice block emoji for good measure!
Fans reacted to the post with praise for Schiffer. âYou are and will always be the best,â a comment reads. âYou are so beautiful,â another fan shared. Other reactions include, âYouâre so pretty! Iâd love to think I could get in there, but Iâm a coward when it comes to cold water!,â âYou are a beautiful and pretty woman,â and âAh ice bath! So cold.â
Claudia Schiffer Discusses Being Competitive
How did Schiffer manage to hold out for so long in this very cold water? Well, this could be because Schiffer is admittedly competitive. Or at least, she can be. In an interview with Country and Townhouse in 2020, she reflected on how she was able to stand up for herself as a model.
âMe and the other girls were on the cover of every magazine and in every campaign,â she said of herself and other IT girls of the ’90s, including Naomi Campbell and Linda Evangelista.
She continued, âWe lived and breathed it, and we developed unprecedented control over our careers. Also, although we could be competitive, there was a lot of camaraderie between us, too. We looked out for each other, and we werenât afraid to speak up.â
Also in the interview, Schiffer spoke about how she has embraced age, and her comments are powerful and inspiring. âI think age should be celebrated and revered. There’s a reason we have cakes and parties on our birthdays, and I feel the same way about getting older each year,â she said. âI am so happy to be turning 50 and have never felt more confident or happy in my life. I don’t try to look or feel younger, I embrace now.â
