Donald Trump made the transition from reality star to politician, so what is stopping Luke Worley?
The disgraced Married at First Sight contestant has announced he will be putting himself forward to take on Count Binface, telling his rivals: ‘At least I’m from Clacton’.
Luke Worley, who was booted off the reality show for getting into a fight on screen, told his rivals ‘I’ve survived reality TV, so politics should be a walk in the park.
Announcing he will stand in the by-election, Luke told The Sun: ‘Nigel Farage might be one of the biggest names in British politics and Lord Binface might be the king of political stunts, but neither of them grew up in Clacton like I did.
‘They can bring the headlines and I’m fine with that but I’ll bring the local knowledge and the respect for the local community.
‘This campaign isn’t about egos, it’s about giving Clacton a fighter who actually understands what people here have been through.
‘If that ruffles a few feathers along the way, so be it. If you’re from Clacton and Vote for me you will basically be voting for yourself as I will be the only voice you have.
‘Ironically it’s about time Clacton put Nigel in the Bin. Pun intended.’

Posting his manifesto with an AI poster on Instagram, Luke wrote: Today, I’m proud to announce that I will stand as an Independent candidate in the upcoming Clacton by-election.
‘I’m standing because Clacton deserves a representative who answers to the people, not to a political party. My commitment is simple: to listen, be honest, and always put our community first.
‘For too long, Clacton has been left behind. It’s time to restore pride in our town, support local families, and create opportunities for everyone.’
Luke added: ‘I will always put Clacton first. I will listen, work hard, and be an independent voice that answers only to the people of the community.
‘Together, we can build a stronger future for our town.’
He plans to make life more affordable and revitalise the high street all-year-round.
The wannabe politico was booted off the reality show where you marry a stranger after getting into fisticuffs with Jordan Gayle – leading to Luke’s wife, Jay Howard, also being removed from the show in 2023.
