Eva Longoria may be spending more time abroad these days, but when she is back in Los Angeles, she knows exactly where to go. The “Desperate Housewives” star, 51, was spotted out for dinner Thursday night with husband Jose Baston and a group of close friends at Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica.

Photos obtained by the Daily Mail show Longoria dressed for the occasion. She wore a sleek all-black ensemble featuring a maxi coat, crew-neck top, and wide-legged trousers. Her accessories were simple and considered.
A gold necklace and a Patek Philippe watch were all she needed. Baston kept pace with his wife in a black cardigan, gray trousers, and a matching gray scarf. He wore a sling on his right arm, though no details about the injury have been made public yet.

Business brought Longoria back to Los Angeles. Her second directorial feature, “The Fifth Wheel,” wrapped filming in the city and is now in post-production.
The project represents her continued push behind the camera and requires her presence during this key phase of the process.
The actress and director, who has been splitting time between Spain and Mexico with her husband, Baston, and son, Santiago, 7, told People that the biggest shift has been learning to slow down.
“They really enjoy life in Spain,” she said. “They love a long meal. You’re never in a rush.”
The contrast with American work culture is not lost on her. “It’s so amazing how we really don’t take lunch in our work culture,” Longoria said.

She also has a new appreciation for simpler things. “There’s no traffic where we live [in Spain.] I walk everywhere,” she added.
Longoria’s travel series “Eva Longoria: Searching for France” premiered April 12 on CNN, airing two episodes weekly through May 3.

Life outside of work looks equally beautiful for Longoria. She and Baston have spent the last few years building a home in Marbella, Spain.
As per photos published by Hello magazine in January 2024, the six-bedroom, seven-bathroom villa, purchased in early 2023, was renovated to include a home cinema, sauna, and gym.
It is where the family exhales. The couple shares son Santiago, 7, and splits their time between Spain and Mexico.
Last month, they were spotted together in Marbella, soaking up the sun and clearly at ease with each other and the life they have built. Spain holds special meaning for Longoria beyond the villa.
Realtor.com reported that she was honored with the title of Dame by the Spanish government in 2022, a recognition of her deep ancestral roots in the city of Oviedo. She carries dual citizenship in both the U.S. and Spain.

Longoria has never been shy about where she stands. Born in Texas and raised between cultures, she spent most of her adult life in California before deciding it was time for something new. She has been open about that choice and honest that not everyone has the same options she does.
The move was made official when the couple listed their eight-bedroom Beverly Hills mansion at $22.8 million, later reducing the asking price to $18.9 million in February 2024, as reported by Architectural Digest.
Los Angeles may no longer be her home base, but it clearly still has a place in her life. Thursday night’s dinner looked like proof of that.
