US President Donald Trump was all compliments at a rally as he heaped praise on Republican Ohio senator Jon Husted and Nicki Minaj’s rear ends.
Speaking at the rally in support of Michigan Republican candidate Mike Rogers, Trump, 80, decided to share his thoughts on the senator’s body.
‘I don’t do this with men very often,’ he began his bizarre speech. ‘I started examining his body, because I didn’t know he was a great athlete. And I looked and I watched up and down.
‘I looked at his a**, and I looked at the whole… and then I looked at his hands. Look at his hands. He’s got these, like, claws.’
After congratulating Husted, 59, on his physical prowess, Trump got distracted by Minaj’s ‘hard to miss’ figure.
He declared: ‘By the way, I looked at one hell of a beautiful a** before – Nicki Minaj.
‘That’s hard to miss. That – stand up! That’s hard to miss.’
The Superbass rapper obliged, reportedly dressed in a Gucci jacket and matching skirt, and got a round of applause from the crowd.
He said he was going to ‘get back to his story’ but thanked Minaj, 43, for her continued support of the party.
‘I hope Nicki wasn’t insulted, but we love Nicki,’ the president added. ‘She’s been with us for a long time.’
Focusing his attention back on Husted, who wasn’t at the event, Trump shared that he ‘examined his a**’ and ‘studied him’.
‘He’s got a jawline,’ he concluded. ‘I then patted him on the shoulder, and it was like a piece of steel. I’m still recovering.’
Minaj has been part of the Republican campaign efforts for a while now, having accepted a role working in the Trump administration last November.
At the time, she said: ‘The Barbz [a nickname for her fans] and I will never stand down in the face of injustice. We’ve been given our influence by God. There must be a bigger purpose.’
She’s now reportedly being considered for the role of Press Secretary, according to TMZ, after Katie Zacharia was fired.
White House Communications Director Steven Cheung praised her online, sharing a clip of her discussing international politics on Air Force One.
He wrote: ‘Ladies and gentlemen, I think we may have found the new White House Press Secretary!’
Minaj responded with emojis, specifically the American flag and the grinning face with sweat. So far, nothing official has been announced.
The Roman’s Revenge rapper has been seen at several events with Trump, including an Oval Office visit.
He dubbed her his ‘favourite’ when she arrived at the White House, to which Minaj replied: ‘Hi, Mr President.’
‘Not going anywhere, right where I need to be,’ the Grammy-nominated rapper wrote on X afterwards.
She has also appeared at Turning Point USA with Erika Kirk and praised Elon Musk, while also backing Tory leader Kemi Badenoch.
Her allegiance to Trump has not sat well with some fans, especially as Minaj spoke out about his zero-tolerance immigration policy in 2018.
‘I came to this country as an illegal immigrant @ 5 years old,’ she wrote almost a decade ago. ‘I can’t imagine the horror of being in a strange place & having my parents stripped away from me at the age of 5.
‘This is so scary to me. Please stop this.’
She’s since shown off her ‘Gold Card’ visa, emblazoned with Trump’s face, which allows wealthy immigrants to fast-track US Citizenship for $1million (£750,000).
