The <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/traviskelceinterview.html/?swcfpc=1″>Kansas City Chiefs tight end</a> started dating his wife in 2023, and although he was already an accomplished star in the NFL, he became a household name almost overnight. That’s because Swifties everywhere became interested in him. </p>
<p id=”par-2_54″>Entertainment news outlets all over the world also began covering <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/celebrity-athletes/?swcfpc=1″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>the athlete</a> when he started dating the most famous pop star on the planet. Their relationship garnered so much public attention, and the two nearly broke the internet in August 2025 when they announced in a joint Instagram post that they were engaged. </p>
<p id=”par-3_24″>Less than a year later, on July 3, Kelce and Swift <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/taylor-swifts-fans-pay-25-pieces-of-garbage-picked-up-madison-square-garden.html/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>tied the knot at Madison Square Garden</a> in front of 1000 guests. </p>

<p id=”par-4_82″>These days, in addition to being married to the famous pop singer, Kelce has plenty of things going on away from the gridiron. He has his popular <em>New Heights</em> podcast with his brother Jason, recently starred in Tommy Hilfiger’s Fall 2026 campaign, and has several endorsement deals. So could all of this amount to a distraction when he plays on Sundays, and even though his draft stock dipped a bit this season is he still an elite player in the league? </p>
<p id=”par-5_26″>According to a former <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/nfl/?swcfpc=1″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>NFL</a> player, who played in the league with Kelce, he can still play at a high level and have a tremendous impact.</p>
<p id=”par-6_65″>Speaking on behalf of <a href=”https://ipredicta.co/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>iPredicta</a>, Paul Posluszny, who was a linebacker for the Buffalo Bills and the Jacksonville Jaguars for 10 seasons, told Showbiz Cheat Sheet, “Travis Kelce can still play at a high level. He will have to adjust his game a little bit, but his relationship that he has with Patrick Mahomes, it seems that the connection that they have there is special. </p>
