One of the legendary stars of Friends has revealed the fears that he has over losing a property that he owns after his acclaimed TV series was axed.
Blue Bloods has entertained fans for the past 14 years, with Tom Selleck starring as one of the lead characters, New York City Police Commissioner Frank Reagan.
Before the police procedural, one of the actor’s best-known roles was as Richard Burke in Friends, the on-again, off-again boyfriend of Monica Geller (Courteney Cox), who was 21 years her senior.
In a new interview, the 79-year-old has opened up about the cancellation of the show, and how he could end up losing his beloved ranch in California, where he spends the majority of his time when he’s not working.
The news of Blue Bloods’ cancellation came in November last year, with Deadline reporting that the two-part final season would consist of 18 episodes.
Despite the confirmation of its axe, Magnum, P.I. star Tom has remained hopeful that the show could be saved.

However, if he does end up losing TV work, he might not be able to retain his ranch for much longer.
‘You know, hopefully I keep working enough to hold onto the place,’ he told CBS.
Correspondent Tracy Smith asked him: ‘Seriously, that’s an issue? If you stopped working?’
‘That’s always an issue. If I stopped working, yeah,’ the Three Men and a Baby actor replied.
‘Am I set for life? Yeah, but maybe not on a 63-acre ranch!’
Speaking of Blue Bloods coming to an end, Tom expressed his hope that the TV network on which it airs, CBS, will ‘come to their senses’.
‘We’re the third-highest scripted show in all of broadcast. We’re winning the night,’ he stated.

‘All the cast wants to come back. And I can tell you this: we aren’t sliding off down a cliff. We’re doing good shows, and still holding our place. So, I don’t know. You tell me!’
In 2017, Tom was nominated for a People’s Choice Award for his performance in Blue Bloods.
He previously won several accolades for his breakout role in Magnum, P.I., including an Emmy and a Golden Globe Award.
According to his IMDb page, Tom is set to appear in another Jesse Stone project, having portrayed the fictional character from Robert B Parker’s detective book series since 2005.
Friends is available to stream on Netflix. Blue Bloods is available to stream on My5, Paramount Plus, Prime Video and NOW.
