Last night’s I’m A Celebrity final will go down in history as one of the messiest moments from the show, ever.

It started when David Haye, 45, heckled Adam Thomas, 37, from the audience while the actor was in conversation with Ant McPartlin, 50, and Declan Donnelly, 50.

And it continued in the second half of the show, as Jimmy Bullard, 47, labelled Adam ‘abusive, aggressive and intimidating’, and David joined in the with the pile on.

The above resulted in Sinitta, 62, and Gemma Collins, 45, walking off, and the latter referred to David and Jimmy’s behaviour as ‘disgusting’ in a recent Instagram comment.

Adam, who ended up winning the South African spin-off, put on a smile for social media despite looking slightly forlorn when Ant and Dec announced him as winner.

He started the post: ‘I walked through this journey with my heart first, no matter what came my way…It was not always easy, there were moments that could have broken me, but I stayed true to myself and that is something I will always be proud of.’

The Waterloo Road star continued: ‘And to those who doubted me or tried to bring me down, I carry no negativity towards you. I have already won in the ways that matter most. I have love, I have happiness and I have stayed true to myself, and that is something no one can ever take away from me.

‘I hope one day you can do the same ❤️.’

Under his message were lots of words of support, including from fellow campmates Scarlett Moffatt and Ashley Roberts.

Gemma, who was also in the jungle alongside Adam, wrote: ‘David and Jimmy’s behaviour was DISGUSTING! 🤢’

The Towie star was sat between the two men when David started heckling from the crowd.

She was seen visibly trying to hold the former boxer back from shouting at Adam after he called out: ‘Do you think you deserve to win this, after calling Jimmy the c-word a couple of times?’

Adam quipped: ‘After that trial, I deserve it yeah.’

Ant and Dec assured David they would ‘come to this later’, and that they did.

Jimmy was given the opportunity to tell his side of the story with regards to the argument in the jungle which divided the campmates.

To recap, Jimmy called ‘I’m a celebrity, get me out of here’ during a trial when he was paired up with Adam. By doing this, he put both of their positions on the show at risk.

In the end, Adam was allowed to stay and Jimmy left the camp, but an ugly argument erupted before this decision was made.

In the expletive-laden row, Adam shouted: ‘Pr**k. I have done all that for him…if you wanted to go, f***ing go. Don’t take me with you. What is up with you? Tell me why? All you had to do was run through some f***ing mud and you said: “Get me out of here.”’

After it was aired, it was claimed that the argument was worse than what was aired, and Adam had been dropping ‘f-bombs and c-bombs’ in the spat.

ITV told Metro at the time: ‘We show an accurate and fair representation of events.’ Later, Ant confirmed that some of the language was ‘un-broadcastable.’

During the live final, Jimmy claimed that his fee would change depending on how he left the show, hence why he called it when he did.

But he maintained that Adam had been ‘aggressive’ towards him. The actor said he took ‘full responsibility’ for his actions, and that ‘emotions were definitely running high.’ He said he had ‘nothing but love for Jimmy.’

David continued to interrupt and question Adam, defending Jimmy.

A shouting match then took place while Ant and Dec tried to calm the cast down.

Caroline Thomas, Adam’s wife, has released a statement on the whole ordeal. She wrote: ‘What should have been a night of celebration for everyone, turned into a glimpse of a real jungle, watching a pack of vultures attack!

‘I have never ever seen anything like the vile display that was demonstrated live on national television last night, on what is supposed to be a loved family show full of laughter and fun!

Not one bit of that was fun, or ‘banter,’ as a wife my heart is breaking and I will forever be horrified at what I had to sit and watch my husband go through.’

Metro has reached out to Jimmy Bullard and David Haye for comment.
