Hollywood idol Richard Gere, 74, put in a rare appearance on a red carpet alongside his wife, Alejandra Silva, 41, on Wednesday night.
The couple stepped out together for a good cause, leaving their young kids at home, to attend the star-studded 2024 City Harvest Gala at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City.
The annual fundraiser for one of the world’s first food rescue organisations, founded in 1982, was hosted by Taye Diggs and honoured Alex Cohen and John Legend.
Pretty Woman star Richard looked sharp in a dark tailored suit, which he wore with a pale blue open-necked shirt and dress shoes.
His wife, meanwhile, injected some glamour with her black corseted gown with a tulle skirt ad sheer panel across her midriff.
Alejandra completed her outfit with a pair of silver heels and a statement necklace with matching chandelier earrings, and wore her long hair in loose waves and a side parting.

Richard and Alejandra, who tied the knot in 2018, share two sons together: Alexander, five, and their second boy, whose name has never been publicly shared and is just about to turn four.
The Golden Globe winning star also has son Homer, 24, with ex-wife Carey Lowell, who he was married to from 2002 until 2016, while Alejandra has son Albert, 11, from her marriage to former husband Govind Friedland, a mining magnate.

Prior to that, his first wife – from 1991 until 1995 – was model Cindy Crawford.
Activist and publicist Alejandra was by his side when Richard was admitted to hospital in February 2023 with pneumonia.
He was stricken down with the illness while on a family holiday in Mexico to celebrate Alejandra’s 40th birthday.
The star, who recently paid tribute after the death of his Oscar-winning co-star in An Officer and a Gentleman, Louis Gossett Jr., was subsequently believed to have recovered enough after just one night of hospital treatment to be discharged the next day with a round of antibiotics.
In an update on Instagram at the time with photos from her special day, Alejandra wrote: ‘What an amazing birthday! Thank you all my friends and family for make [sic] it so special!’

She then added: ‘Ps: as you can see we are all mostly recovered.. [sic]’
Richard was a longtime family friend of Alejandra’s, with the two reconnecting when Richard stayed at one of the hotels owned by Alejandra’s family in Positano, Italy in 2014.
The actor told Spanish magazine HOLA! about settling down for the third time as he tied the knot: ‘I have found the quiet and happy life that I have always sought.’
