I’m A Celebrity star Jack Osbourne has divided fans after telling a ‘disgusting’ story about his late dad Ozzy.

The ITV series already seems to be heating up after viewers predicted the ‘first big row’ involving Kelly Brook.

But one celebrity who was dubbed an early favourite is Jack, who tugged on people’s heartstrings as he opened about his dad’s death.

Now, however, fans are convinced that the 39-year-old has thrown away his chances of winning after telling an ‘awful anecdote’.

Asked by comedian Ruby Wax around the campfire about the infamous moment Ozzy bit a dove’s head off, Jack said: ‘That was just him. That was him in all his divine creativity.

‘But it was just a joke. And the dove thing happened because they went to the record label.

‘And the story was that the record label wasn’t going to put any marketing behind the record. And so my mum was like: “Hey, come do a meet and greet with all the marketing execs”.

‘We’re going to do something kind of like showy, here’s these doves, put them in your jacket and when we go in there I want you to release the doves, as kind of like, hey, I’m like this peaceful guy.’

After explaining that Ozzy was extremely drunk, he continued: ‘He sits on the lap of this exec from CBS records, this woman.

‘And this dove lands on her knee. He grabs the dove, bites its head off and spits it on her and it was just like pandemonium, security comes in, he gets kicked out.

‘And before they’d got to the hotel it had gone everywhere all over the news that this had happened, like, they’d leaked it, and instantly his album charted.’

While Jack laughed throughout the story, Alex Scott and Ruby were visibly shocked by the story.

Taking to social media, fans were equally disturbed, as @purelyagb said: ‘Jack saying that story was a joke… um yeah maybe if the dove was FAKE. don’t find that funny #ImACeleb.’

@krystalxvc also wrote: ‘Jack saying his dad bit the head of a dove off.. him telling this story while laughing too. literally wtf #imaceleb.’

Meanwhile, other viewers took to Reddit to claim that this moment could cost Jack his chances of being crowned king of the jungle.

Educational_Hawk7484 commented: ‘Was I the only one absolutely not smiling at that awful anecdote – sitting on a poor woman’s lap and spitting a bitten-off dove’s head at her? At least Alex had the decency to look shocked.’

El _smithy8 added: ‘100% agree. It’s disgusting to think about.’

TomorrowFinancial468 also claimed that Jack is ‘no longer winning this’ because people will complain about animal cruelty.

Kevintegrass similarly proposed that he has ‘ruined his chances saying it was funny’.

 I’m A Celebrity airs on ITV1 at 9pm.
