Inbetweeners stars share new behind-the-scenes photo and ‘disappointing’ warning for fans

The cast of The Inbetweeners have shared a new behind-the-scenes glimpse of their upcoming film – but it’s unfortunately not all good news.

Blake Harrison, who plays Neil Sutherland in the hit comedy franchise, posted a new photo on Instagram with the caption, ‘rehearsal friends’, as the original cast prepare for their third Inbetweeners movie.

The reunion comes 12 years after The Inbetweeners Movie 2 hit cinemas in 2014, with Netflix announcing earlier this month that all four stars are returning.

However, while fans are understandably desperate to hear new details about the film, its creators have urged them to stop digging for spoilers.

Iain Morris and Damon Beesley, who created the comedy, shared an update on Instagram warning that rumours about the plot are already getting out of hand.

‘As you probably know, we’ve started filming a new Inbetweeners adventure,’ they wrote.

‘We love that everyone is interested, and it’s brilliant that these four idiots are still considered news.’

However, they added: ‘The rumour mill can sometimes get carried away, so our advice is simple: if you want to fully enjoy what we’ve got in store for you, we’d suggest avoiding photos and conjecture about the story.

‘We promise it’ll be a more enjoyable watch going in knowing nothing.’

The pair also revealed one detail that could leave fans disappointed – not every side character from the original TV series will be making a comeback.

‘For the record, we’d like to clarify that, try as we might, we couldn’t squeeze every single beloved character from the TV shows into this new film,’ they said.

‘That’s on us, and us alone. ‘Again, people will speculate about why we make these choices, but sadly the truth is we just couldn’t find a plausible way in the script to bring back all our lovely “friends”.’

Recent filming pictures have already teased a major storyline involving a wedding, with a mystery bride spotted alongside the cast.

Actress Marina Bye, the daughter of comedian Ruby Wax, has been pictured in a wedding dress, while three of the four lads were seen suited and booted on set.

Emily Head is also returning as Simon’s long-suffering love interest Carli D’Amato, although exactly how she fits into the new story remains under wraps.
